You may remember that recently we heard that our Activities Co-ordinator, Jo Maxwell, was a finalist in the Great British Care Awards North West Region in the Care Home Activity Organiser category.

These well recognised awards celebrate the excellent work that takes place in Care Homes and to be nominated, let alone be a finalist is a great honour.

Yesterday afternoon Jo faced the judging panel in a Manchester hotel, and was proud to be amongst only 8 finalists in this category in the whole of the North West.  Jo will now have a long  wait until the 24th November to find out the outcome. At Westwood we are very proud to have Jo as a finalist and are all keeping everything crossed for her!
