We offer a wide range of activities designed to encourage residents to maintain mobility, promote mental alertness and retain their interests and community links.
We have plenty going on in the home for residents to choose whether to participate in or not, including arts and craft sessions, playing games, quizzes, bingo, tea/coffee afternoons to which friends and relatives are invited, and when the weather is favourable we can enjoy some time outside in the garden. Friends and relatives are always welcome to come and join us.
We have a physiotherapist who runs the weekly exercise classes, and a regular visiting hairdresser, podiatrist, and optician.
We also arrange for visiting entertainers to perform for us from time to time, and have our own Pets as Therapy dog – Copper – who visits weekly with his owner Joanne. We have also established close links with the local Nursery School – Pipers – and they visit us regularly too.
We usually have a trip out once a week in our minibus to local areas of interest, and we may go for an ice-cream or a drink in a nearby pub or cafe. The outings are certainly most popular with residents.
